In spite of recent history, I like to think myself a pretty reasonable, rational human being. However, there are a few things that cause me very real albeit, very irrational fear. Birds, walking down steps without being able to see them, lakes, and midgets. Yes, I said it. Midgets.
Enter-my most intriguing worst nightmare.
This is the stuff that great rumors and urban legends are made of! Midget Village in Salt Lake, anyone? Are you kidding me?
My roommates and I drove around for hours.
We never found it.
I've decided that my fear is rooted in not knowing what to do. Where do I put my eyes? I'm so torn. Which is less polite, to stare or to look away and avoid eye contact completely? Someone find me an overly polite Canadian. Certainly they will know what to do.
Know this- I am calling my college roommates and looking into flights to China. Midgetopia will evade me no longer. I'm off to see the Wizard.

hahahaha Isn't it called Hobbit Village or something? I've done that excursion before, too. Even when you find it. it's very anti-climatic!
I don't see the problem...they look like little angels to me. I think if you just look normally straight ahead they will just assume that you overlooked them...no harm/no foul
Minti-Anticlimax seems to be a fairly recurrent theme. That's upsetting to hear.
OG- That's usually the default mode but it's commitment that I lack. The darting glance gives me away every time!
I am NOT going with you for this one. You talk a good game, but you will freeze up and refuse to go in. I know it!
you are hi.lari.ous!! good luck with that one... I with Maury. I bet you freeze up. ;)
Pill,
I had a SLC native show me this anomalie during my college years in Zion. It's pretty bizarre. Felt like I was in "Willow," except for the fact that Val Kilmer never showed up. Bummer.
