I have found a new and brilliant way to keep my students (eleventh graders) from sleeping in class. I'll let you guess what this new tactic might be.....
Granted, I have absolutely NO intention of actually following through on this threat and touching any of them.....with a spitty finger or otherwise. However, I have already shown them that I am just crazy enough that I might actually do it. And that, my dear friends, is all the motivation they need.
For now.
I'm just worried about the day I actually have to follow through. But no worries, I've got wipes and sanitizer ready.

ha!
This is one of the reasons why I also kept a can of sanitizer in my classroom. Spray. Spray. Spray.
I love it. AAAAAAnd I have a group of Seniors who could use it. Knowing them (for only two days...but trust me) they'd enjoy it. Sigh.
Word verification: eurin. Say that one out loud.
One of my 11th grade teachers, Mr. Simmonds, at Quartz Hill, actually hit a sleeping kid on the back of his head. Probably not legal, but since it didn't happen to me, it was dang funny!
That is great. My drivers training teacher would throw a koosh ball at people who would fall asleep. She let us know on the first day-if you fall asleep you get this thrown at you-haha!!
I have searched HIGH and LOW for one of those Jill...believe that. I can't find them anywhere. They have a gun that you can attach the rubber band to and shoot it rather than throw it! I can't find one ANYWHERE!
